Scottish Waterski Festival

Waterski and Wakeboard Scotland, the national governing body for the sport, is proud to announce the Scottish Waterski Festival, a celebration of waterskiing in Scotland taking place on Sunday 21st September 2025 at the Town Loch National Training Site

The festival marks the culmination of a hugely successful season for waterskiing in Scotland, following a series of impactful projects and initiatives that have boosted participation, developed new pathways, and inspired the next generation of skiers across the country. The event promises an action-packed day showcasing all three disciplines of the sport: slalom, trick and jump. Open to all ages and ability levels, the festival will bring together grassroots participants, club skiers and elite athletes in celebration of the sport’s growth.

In the build-up to the festival, skiers will have the unique opportunity to learn from one of the very best in the world. Arron Davies, the current UK Open National Slalom Champion and freshly returned from competing at the World Championships in Italy (ranked No.14 in the world), will be delivering two days of guest coaching at Town Loch. His presence is set to inspire the next generation of Scottish skiers while offering invaluable insights to experienced competitors.

“The Scottish Waterski Festival is all about bringing the community together - from kids just starting out to seasoned athletes,” said Calum Gauld, COO & Head of Growth, at Waterski and Wakeboard Scotland. “This season we’ve seen incredible growth through new initiatives, and the festival is our chance to celebrate that success. Having Arron join us straight from the world stage highlights the standard of talent in the UK and gives our members a rare opportunity to learn from the very best.”

The festival isn’t just for competitors, spectators are warmly encouraged to attend for free, whether from the Townhill Loch Café, the banks of the loch, or within the National Training Site itself. It’s a unique opportunity to experience world-class waterskiing up close in a family-friendly atmosphere.
